What we collect

• Google login. When you log in with Google we receive your Google account ID, email address and name. We use them only to identify your account.
• Username. The username you pick is shown publicly on the leaderboard, next to your score.
• Game data. Your scores and run timing (when runs start and end, activity check results, why a run ended, and how many lives you bought).
• Payments. Buying a life is handled by Stripe. We send Stripe your email and an internal account/run reference, and we store the Stripe payment ID, amount and status. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's handling is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Phone number (only if enabled). If phone verification is switched on to limit bot accounts, we store your phone number and send the code through Twilio. It is not shown publicly.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you logged in (your session). No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.

Other services

The site is hosted on Render, which may keep standard server logs (like IP addresses). The pixel font loads from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when you visit.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the services above that are needed to run the game.

Deleting your data

Email cookhouston5@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll remove your account, username and scores. Stripe may keep payment records it is required to keep.

Kids

SPAN is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
